Matthew 25:35–36

In response to the
devastation that ravaged the country after Hurricane Mitch, and as
an answer to
our Holy Father’s call for solidarity within the Church, in 1998 Bishop Joseph
Delaney of the Diocese of Fort Worth, and Bishop Maurus
Muldoon of the Diocese of Juticalpa, formed a
covenant partnership. Within this diocesan relationship, three years ago St.
Elizabeth Ann Seton became a sister parish with Our Lord of Agony Church in Manto, and through this relationship we bring hope and love
to our parish family in
arish, the partnering relationship is most importantly joint and
reciprocal in prayer,
communication and
education. Both parishes are
equal partners, simply sharing the
resources God
has provided for the benefit
of all in need. In the future, we hope to continue
to expand and improve our existing programs in Manto by giving the children more frequent opportunities to
be part of the Milk Line, by expanding our scholarship program to
include Catholic
University students, and by helping to fund the
construction/renovation of a chapel in each community, so that masses and
prayer services can be celebrated more often. Thanks to your prayers
and financial support, our parish has been able to significantly improve
the lives of our brothers and sisters in Manto. The Mission Council of SEAS sincerely thanks you,
and asks you to please continue to remember Our Lord of Agony in your prayers.

We thank You Lord Jesus for the gift of Your life, which you have given us by loving us to the end. Through our faith in You w have become Your adopted sons and daughters as well as brothers and sisters of one another.
We ask that You shower us with the special graces of Your most Holy Spirit so that we may fully live out our calling to be Your One Body, Your Church. Help us to grow in mutual understanding and appreciation through the sharing of our lives and our cultures so as to grow in unity and solidarity, lifting each other up in our shared faith, renewing our hope and strengthening our love.
You reassured Your apostles that You will be with us until the end of the age and so, let us be with one another for all time.
We ask all of this through the intercession of Mary, Our Lady of Suyapa, to You her Son, and the prayers of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, as we strive to fulfill our calling to love and to serve one another.
Amen.
