Convention
Rules
These rules are probably not necessary, as the
1.
Illegal drugs are
strictly prohibited
2.
Possession or use
of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products on convention premises is strictly
prohibited
3.
Possession of
fireworks, firearms, or weapons of any sort is forbidden
4.
Squires will not
be allowed to drive their own cars to the mid-year convention, unless
accompanied by a Counselor or parent.
5.
Squires will not
be allowed to leave the mid-year convention premises without the permission of
a Counselor, parent, or the State Chairman
6.
Squires will not
be allowed to switch room assignments without the permission of a Counselor,
parent, or the State Chairman
7.
All Squires,
whether delegates or not, will attend all scheduled conferences activities
unless on special assignment of the State Squires Circle Officers, Counselor,
or State Chairman
8. Long pants,
collard shirts, or Squires shirts must be worn in meetings and
conferences. White collard shirts with
dress slacks are required attire for the banquet and Mass
9.
Females are not
allowed in Squires room or vice-versa unless an adult chaperone is present
10. No earrings or clothing with offensive or suggestive
slogans or presentations will be allowed at any time.
11. Current Membership cards are required for all
meetings. This will be enforced.
12. Orientation meetings will be scheduled for shortly
after arrival of the Counselors and Squires, to brief them of chaperone duties
and conference rules
13. If training sessions are planned for Counselors,
Circle Officers, or committee chairmen / members, advance notice will be given
14. All equipment necessary should be available. Special needs will be communicated in advance
15. Parental permission slips should be in the possession
of Counselors. Medical history,
medication, and insurance information will be included on the permission slips
16. Parents, Squires, and Counselors will be given a copy
of conference rules with penalties indicated for violation
17. Squires will be advised of cloths, sports equipment,
money, and other items to bring in advance of the conference
18. Schedules will include a full agenda of business and
recreation activities to minimize free time
19. Any damaged or missing property from the rooms will be
the responsibility of the Squires occupying the room
20. Room service, pay-per-view TV, and phone calls will be
the responsibility of the Squires occupying the room
21. Counselors will be scheduled for chaperone duties in
the lodging area during all non-meeting hours
22. Curfew hours and lights-out will be strictly enforced
by room checks

may subject the
