EVENTS JUST COMPLETED
The annual party for all of the sisters in Fort Worth was held on September 14. Each sister received a gift from the council.  Games for prizes were held.  Cakes and refreshments were served.  About 75 sisters were in attendance.  To say they had a good time would be putting it lightly.  Thanks to Jim Roach and his wife and to all the ladies who made the cookies for the serving.  God Bless you all.

Likewise, the Columbus Day Dance, sponsored by the Chapter held on October 11th , was a great success.  Funds derived from the affair all went to the R. Conroy Scoggins Foundation student loan program.  We are proud to belong to this organization.

FAMILY NIGHTS ARE LOTS OF FUN
Brother Max O'Neal reports that Family Nights are catching on.  The first three have been quite successful.  The next is scheduled for December 19th.  Keep this date in mind and plan on being with your brothers and their families on these fun evenings.  Food and refreshments are served free.

Chris Dunton, publicity chairman, has taken on a new job.  He cannot continue getting out of this bulletin.  Thanks, Chris, for a fine job on the Interim Knight for the past several months.  We all miss your smiling face. Come see us when you can.

EVENTS JUST COMPLETED - ST. TERESA'S STORY
Last Sunday afternoon (Dec. 7th) all of the children of St. Teresa Home, and the Sisters, were guests of Council 759 for their annual Christmas Party. The children all received gifts of clothing and toys.  The dear Sisters also received suitable gifts from Santa.  We are grateful to the committee chairman Charles Cihak and his wife for the splendid handling of all details.  Thanks also to James Parnell who was in charge of transportation; James Roach, Sr. and Mrs. Roach; and Howard Pierson, for being our Santa Claus.  Our special thanks to all the sponsors.  Some of them could not be on hand to see the children receive the presents.  I know you were with us in spirit.  God Bless you all.

The Christmas Tree Party for the children of St. Teresa Home is a tradition in Council 759.  It dates back into the 1930's when, under the auspices of Council 759, its members would go out into the city and from house to house and collect funds annually for this purpose.  The first $1,000.00 collected was used to pay off the indebtedness on the Home.  The remainder was used to purchase clothing and toys for the children.  All of this has to do with the original home—not the present building.
